The Department of Home Affairs in collaboration with the Public Sector Education and Training Authority (PSETA) invite applications for the 2019 Cadet Learnership Programme. This is a Youth Development Empowerment initiative that supports the National Development Plan’s idea of formalised recruitment schemes that through theoretical training and experiential learning afford unemployed youth in South Africa the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and experience whilst at the same time, positioning themselves for active and meaningful participation in the labour market.

SAPS: Twelve-month internship programme

The South African Police Service hereby invites unemployed youth who conform to the requirements for a twelve-month internship programme. The internship programme is part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy.

Generic requirements:

  • Must be between ages 18 – 35
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Must be in possession of Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
