Position: Executive Secretary
Division: Office of the Group Chief Financial Officer
Salary: R199 308 – R273 396 per annum (plus benefits)
Grade 12 plus secretarial qualification
General office management and administration, management and budgetary planning experience
Develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system for the unit in accordance with the National Archives and Records Services Act 1966 of South Africa
Communicate on behalf of the office of the Group Chief Financial Officer using written and/or oral media as well as to keep record of any communication that is made to the office of the Group Chief Financial Officer
Take control of situations that arise in the absence of the Group Chief Financial Officer (including crisis situations) and be able to deal with situations in a professional manner and in a manner that furthers the objectives of the Group Chief Financial Officer’s office. Undertake duties and interventions when necessary to provide the required level of support
Ensure that the information coming into the office is kept confidential and is discussed and circulated only with the authorization of the Group Chief Financial Officer.
Handle the compilation of reports, presentations and answering of correspondence which is of a non-technical nature
Coordinate the activities with the office to ensure that goals and objectives set by Council and the Group Chief Financial Officer are met
Deal with the public desiring interaction with the Group Chief Financial Officer in a manner that is professional, courteous and in keeping with the principles of Batho Pele
